“I stand strong with the people. This “ grand opening” of a CARE program office was orchestrated without transparency. This is an utter tragedy. Unfortunately only two other Council members – Arriola and Diaz agree, we do not have a majority vote. The remaining council members want and have consistently supported the use of this waterfront property for the police. A majority out of seven council members rules. . It’s important for the people to express their opinions and if it means increased vocal articulation of the need for change, then so be it. Until a majority of this council takes a distinct position on behalf of the people, we shall remain a house divided amongst itself. Addendum: Follow the link to the Event announcement.
