Hey folks. I wanted to explain why you get the response times that you do. and State that from what i see, both VPD and the Sheriff DO CARE about you and what goes on around town. I spend a lot of time watching what goes on and doing my own investigations. VPD has a priority system, and so do most USA police forces. We are not the only ones lacking officers. This is a nationwide problem. VPD cannot respond to your home because of a burglary after the person has left. There is nothing they can do but tell you, yes you were robbed.

They have to go after crimes in progress and then when time PERMITS, they try to respond to as many calls as they can within the day. Also be aware that if they are driving around and see a crime taking place that they must deal with it right then. SO, this also takes up time. They find a lot of stolen cars daily. But trust all of the officers i have come in contact over the past few years do care about what is going on.

But like the rest of the country, they are having a hard time getting more officers to help deal with these issues. We only see what happens in vallejo but please trust me when i say its a nationwide problem. I watch a lot of videos on youtube from people like Peter Santenello who just did a video in another state last week with a sheriff and that department was having the same issues. i hear about this very often. VPD DOES CARE and SO DOES THE SHERIFF and animal control.

SOmetimes though they are called out for issues that they cannot make an arrest on because there is no proof. And they do not have the time to start up an invesTIGATION because again the dont have the MANPOWER. It is not them being lazy. it’s them prioritizing what is going on in town and doing there best to help everyone possible. I know a lot will disagree with this, and that is your right but i do know what i am talking about and will not be addressing those comments as they are counter productive. Please stop thinking that no one cares about you. They do!
