Last night a member of this group called 911 several times to get help for an elderly man who was lost and needed help. I guess since the lady took him inside while she looked for help, they didn’t think there was any problem. Thank god she had this group to come to and was able to post and find help. VPD nor Sheriff would help. This is how the government defunds us. If its not something they can earn stripes with, it doesn’t get any attention at all. Why do we even have a police department? We expect help when we call 911.The poster found the niece of the man who came and picked him up and we were able to reach other family and friends through app notifications. We need a real police department.
