Why Vallejo Crime & Safety exists

Vallejo Crime & Safety (VCS) was started in 2018 to keep the citizens of Vallejo informed on what's going on around them.

This site is a resource for listening to archived scanner audio, collected directly from our scanner covering Vallejo Police Department and Vallejo Fire Department transmissions.

We also post daily crime reports on Facebook / Instagram whenever major crimes occur in the city.

Program Description

Vallejo Crime & Safety provides recurring SMS and MMS crime and public-safety alerts to people who voluntarily subscribe. Alerts may include information about police or fire activity, missing persons, road closures, shelter-in-place notices, evacuations, and other community safety concerns in Vallejo and nearby areas.

Consent and Eligibility

By submitting your phone number and checking the consent box, you confirm that you are the account holder or are authorized to enroll that number, and you consent to receive automated recurring text messages from Vallejo Crime & Safety. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are responsible for providing an accurate mobile number and notifying us if the number changes.

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on crime and public-safety activity. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. Your wireless carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting Out and Getting Help

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. After you opt out, you may receive one final confirmation message. Reply HELP for assistance, visit www.vallejocrime.com, or email sean@vallejocrime.com. You may subscribe again through the website.
